Time in Between Time

Time in Between Time explores how contemporary society tends to partition our days into different segments, each which a specific script stating ‘what to do next and how’: ‘how to wake up’, ‘how to eat’, ‘how to go to work’, ‘how to come home again’, even ‘how to relax’. And make no mistake, the influence of those scripts goes far beyond simple behavior. The scripted behavior also determines how we perceive ourselves and how others interpret us during different phases of the day. Put differently, each script generates a temporary social mask that allows us to only show and feel very specific aspects of our personalities.
